This is the privacy policy for the Global Vision School mobile app (listed on Google Play as "Global Vision School", Android package app.shikshacrm.app) and for the school platform at shikshacrm.in and its school sub-domains.
The Global Vision School app is published on Google Play by WebSupporters Technologies Pvt Ltd (the developer named in the app's Google Play listing) and is built on Shiksha CRM, a NioDelta product, Nashik, Maharashtra, India (together "we", "us"), for Global Vision School, SM Education Society, Nashik. This policy explains how we handle personal data in the app and on the platform.
Shiksha CRM is software that schools use to run their operations. Your school decides what information it records about you and your child; we process that information on the school's behalf and under its instructions. For questions about what your school holds, contact the school office first. For anything about the app or this policy, email hello@shikshacrm.in.
Who can use the app
The app is for parents/guardians, students, teachers, school staff, drivers and school management of schools that use Shiksha CRM. Accounts are created by the school — there is no public sign-up. Parents sign in with the mobile number the school has on file. Where a student uses the app, the school and the parent are responsible for that use.
Information we process
- Account and contact details — name, mobile number, email address (if the school recorded one), role, and the school you belong to.
- Student records entered by the school — admission details, class and section, attendance, homework, timetable, exam marks and report cards, fees, library records, transport route and stop, notices and messages.
- Files you upload — documents or images you choose to attach (for example leave applications, homework or staff documents). The app only reads the files you pick.
- Precise location — drivers only, and only during a trip. When a driver starts a bus trip, the app reports the bus position to the school so parents can see where the bus is. A persistent notification is shown the whole time; tracking stops when the trip ends. The app does not request "all the time" background location.
- Location at staff check-in — if your school uses location-based staff attendance, your position is read once, when you tap check-in, to confirm you are on campus.
- Payments — fee payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive the payment status and reference; card, UPI and bank details are entered with Razorpay and are never stored by us. See Razorpay's privacy policy.
- Device and technical data — a push-notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging), a device label such as "Android phone" used to name your sign-in session, and server logs (IP address, time, request) kept for security.
We do not collect contacts, call logs, SMS, microphone audio, advertising IDs, or browsing history, and the app contains no advertising.
How we use it
- To sign you in (a one-time code is sent to your mobile number through our SMS provider, MSG91).
- To show you your school's information — attendance, fees, homework, results, notices, bus location.
- To send notifications you would expect from your school (notices, fee reminders, bus arrival).
- To process fee payments and issue receipts.
- To keep the service secure, prevent misuse and fix faults.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Who we share it with
- Your school — it owns and administers the records.
- Service providers who process data for us under contract: hosting (servers in India), MSG91 (SMS / one-time codes), Google Firebase (push notifications), Razorpay (payments), and WhatsApp/SMS messaging providers where your school sends messages that way.
- Authorities where the law requires it.
Security
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Sign-in tokens are kept in the phone's encrypted secure storage. Each school's data is held in a separate database, and staff only see what their role permits.
Retention
Records are kept while your school uses Shiksha CRM and for as long as the school needs them for academic, legal or accounting purposes (for example fee receipts, which Indian tax law requires to be kept). Bus location history is kept as part of the school's transport records for as long as the school needs it. Server security logs are rotated and removed routinely. When a school leaves Shiksha CRM, its data is returned to it and then deleted from our systems within 90 days.
Your rights and choices
- Ask your school, or us, to see or correct the information held about you.
- Request deletion of your account — see Delete your account.
- Turn off notifications or location at any time in Android Settings › Apps. The app keeps working; only the related feature stops.
- Withdraw consent and raise grievances under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Children
The app is a school tool, not a service directed at children for their own use. Children's data is entered by the school and is shown to the child's own parents/guardians and authorised school staff. We do not show ads, and we do not use children's data for anything other than providing the school service.
Grievance officer
Grievance Officer, Shiksha CRM (NioDelta), Nashik, Maharashtra, India — hello@shikshacrm.in. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
